Videogame Review: Resident Evil 2 Remake
Blazed through this over the weekend. This game is just super comfy. Peak remake execution unlike the sequel. Great graphics, atmosphere, and very fun action gameplay. I actually enjoyed playing it on the easiest difficulty with goofy cosmetic mods for maximum comfy times. If you want to test yourself, go for hardcore difficulty on 2nd run. RE2 for my money was always the best true survival horror iteration of the series and this remake does a good job preserving that legacy. Mr. X was my favorite part by far. Hearing his, “clomp! clomp!” steps throughout the police station added an enjoyable sort of “mental stack” threat while trying to solve puzzles. The only thing keeping this one from being perfect is a bit of cut content from the original. Otherwise pretty easy to recommend to just about anyone.
